MEET OUR FOUNDER
Ladonna Roberts
Ladonna understands domestic violence from both sides of the badge. As a former law enforcement officer, she understands the responsibility of responding to domestic violence calls and protecting those in danger. As a survivor, she understands the fear, trauma, barriers, and challenges that victims face.
Ladonna's life was forever changed when her ex-boyfriend and abuser, an on-duty police officer, shot her and killed their four-year-old son, Austin Tyler before committing suicide. Ladonna survived, but her child did not.
From this unimaginable tragedy, Ladonna created a mission of purpose.
Austin Tyler Foundation was established to honor Austin Tyler's life by educating communities, supporting survivors, advocating for women and children affected by domestic violence.
Through her personal experience, professional background, and continued advocacy, Ladonna is committed to using her voice to raise awareness, educate others, support survivors, and help create safer communities.

Mission & Vision
The Austin Tyler Foundation will bring awareness of domestic abuse to women and their children by embracing, educating, and empowering them as well as the community. These efforts will break the cycle of domestic violence so that victims will live beyond the abuse and live a fulfilling life.
